i have this exact same issue. when it occurs seems random. i've looked around for a solution, but this is the only thread i saw with anyone mentioning it.
i would assume that if this issue was widespread, there'd be more people talking about it, unless they're okay with this minor inconvenience.
is there any solution to this issue? it's something i can live with... but something i feel like i shouldn't live with.
Let me save you the call...
Samsung: Hello, this is Samsung support, may I help you?
You: Yes, I have low in-call volume.
Samsung: This is the first time I've heard of this. Have you used the volume switch on the side of the phone?
You: Yes, I have. Doesn't help.
Samsung: What did you eat for breakfast?
You: How does that matter?
Samsung: Sir, I need to document this for our records.
You: Corn flakes.
Samsung: Can you spell that, sir?
You: c-o-r-n f-l-a-k-e-s
Samsung: Thank you. One second, I'll need to check to see if any of my co-workers have heard of the problem you're experiencing.
(Music plays: National anthem of North Korea
)
Samsung: Thank you for your patience. No one else has ever heard of this problem, either.
You: What should I do?
Samsung: I suggest you perform a factory reset of your device.
You hang up the phone, no better off than when you called, and rush off to post on this forum how useless Samsung support was.
(You can press the "
Thanks" button now that I've saved you a half hour of frustration.)
