Help Low on memory; but can't find where

I keep getting the message that my Droid Incredible is low on memory; down below 250K. But when I look at the memory usage is says I have more than 100MB free. So what is causing this message and how do I clean it up?

Just means the thread has been "stuck" to the top of the forum permanenlty, no matter when the latest post was.

Can just follow the link in my previous post though.

Well I've read through page 11 and it seems like lots of people have suggestions, but its not clear to me what the fix is.

Can you point me to what you think I should read/follow?

I am running k9 for my email
I have cleared my phone dialer history
I have cleared the cache on lots of applications, including my internet browser
Months ago I had to do a reset. But eventually the problem came back.

So what am I supposed to do?

The only true fix is to root and apply a patch to the file system.... other than that, all you can do is periodically clear the cache and data for your apps.
