Help Low on Space, "System data" huge!

Dolphin browser is pretty light, I had it going on my Droid Turbo, and Galaxy s3, the only thing I ever saw during that warning was when I tried doing the Odin flash. Nothing else, but within a few moments, I got it running.

Im not sure if im in the correct room? If im not, please direct me to the correct room. But maybe someone here can help me. First of all i have galaxy s9+. And my question is this.....

If i restrict backround data from "all system apps", will that have a negative impact on the performance of the s9+ phone?

Yes because some system apps absolutely require BG data and will do everything it can to connect. That in turn will likely drain the battery as well..

Unrestricted? No, probably not.. Be intelligently selective. Blocking those which you never use is probably a better idea

The problem is that when it comes to "system apps". I dont know what "all" of the system apps do within the phone. I am kind of average in knowlege concerning android opperating systems. But i also know how to research system apps one by one to see what they do within the phone. I obviously also know how to use forums. But with me being "selective" in restricting or not restricting "every" (system app). I would have to research every system app to see what each system app does. Then let that help me to decide weather or not to restrict backround data for that system app. And that will take me quite a long time! There are many system apps that use backround data! I just got this phone 2 days ago. And im just trying to set it up for top performance. So do you have any additional advice pertaining to system apps and backround data?

Me personally, I'd block BG data of the browsers, As for Google apps ya don't use. You can disable and wipe the data afterwards, reduces a bunch of overhead. That alone can make a marked improvement.

Hey Everyone, I came upon this and have no idea if anyone is still following, but I had the same problem. Couldn't figure out WHY my wife's phone was missing storage. like 5GB! I discovered that even though her Gallery Ap was LITERALLY empty (I had been deleting anything i could think of to create space), the app said it had 6GB of data! Let alone her cache! So I deleted the data and now her phone is fine. Not sure why her phone had data where we had deleted it, also can't believe i missed it as i searched EVERYTHING (according to her app storage analysis she didn't even have that much, it was like 6GB of ghost data or something). But if you are still having this problem check your gallery app in settings.
