LTE is here

OK so there are 2 LTE phones coming to Boost.... both ICS. WTH?? You would think JB at this point since they already have ICS phones out. Well, I guess it's better than the WiMax phones, which will have limited coverage compared to the LTE network when they finally finish. If they continue to push LTE phones over (such as GS3), they may keep me. But I'm waiting this out. Google X phone this summer anyone???

Phones are officially on the Boost Mobile website now. $299 for HTC One SV, and $199 for Boost Force (ZTE phone). Boost phone has 1.5ghz dual core while HTC only has 1.2ghz dual core processor.... hmm?? Clearly, you will be rolling the dice with ZTE. LOL

LTE would be nice, but in my area, we don't even get wimax

One day...one day ;)

Other than the processors, the HTC deff beats the force overall, plus its more likely to get more dev love than the force. A buddy told me that hes friend that owns a boost store got 10 of each phones the same day when it was released and the one sv sold out in just 3 hours while only 2 of the force were sold that day.
I would choose the one sv over the force anyday. And That anyday is anyday i actually have money to get it:D

Went to boost today and checked out the HTC SV1. Definitely nicer than anything they have todate but for $300? Come on. The phone is still sub par from top end phones and after doing some research on specs found it is actually downgraded from the HTC one. Wow I thought manufacturers where suppose to upgrade features with newer versions. Boost is so far behind in the mobile department I don't know how they stay in business against cricket that has a vast amount of platforms to choose. Even Virgin mobile has the IPhone 4s and GS3.

Virgin will continue to get better phones b/c they are Sprint's high-end prepaid carrier while Boost is the low-end for them. Sprint wants you to go to the higher cost service if possible first. And Boost is the catch all others, basically people who want the lowest possible price service. Yes you can get lower monthly payments from other carriers, but you may give up something (mins, data, txt/mms).

You know funny thing is when I was at the boost store I had asked about Virgin as an alternative, I really don't know anything about Virgin, cause I get a shitty data signal during the day, pretty much useless. Anyway the salesman pretty much acted like I didn't want to go that route. I don't mind paying more if the usability is better. I don't however want to be tied into a contract. I actually looked up as a matter of fact prepaid carrier ratings when I had got home that day and Boost was rated #1 Cricket 2 and Virgin 3

I think I might get this one, since it will be the only JB phone out by Boost. The specs are great!!! But of course it's an LG, which means locked bootloader?? No date yet either for release.

Definitely a locked bootloader and it definitely will put a hole in your wallet if this device does come to boost.

Well maybe I won't have to get the LG (Jelly Bean was the reasoning) after all... GS3 coming to Boost and Virgin next month.

Today at CTIA 2013, Sprint announced that it is bringing the Galaxy S3 to its prepaid Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile brands next month. The device will operate on 3G and LTE networks for both operators.
The design and features of the reborn GS3 will be unchanged from the original version. Expect the same slim profile and 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display, while inside you'll find Android4.1.2 Jelly Bean, an 8-megapixel main camera, a 1.9-megapixel front-facing shooter, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, GPS, and Samsung-specific features like AllShare Play and S Beam.
Pricing and a specific release date are yet to come.

With boost force. Phone is actually refreshing from the previous zte devices. S3 processor in a smaller screen.phone fast cant slow it down, and have root and cwm. And that's it for now.

Yes its on ics, but looks like the metropcs zte avid 4g is the same phone and have cm10.1 almost done. Root and touch cwm came from them

Great speeds!!! Wow!
I'm in NYC and Sprint has a small 4G LTE footprint right now. They recently said they have coverage in the Bronx and Brooklyn. But that's not good enough after like forever now. I know people on Sprint with GS3's and Iphones and yet they have slow downloads and spotty coverage.

I still haven't upgraded from my WARP b/c Sprint/Boost lack of 4G coverage here. Not to mention this thing is a Tank. So many drops and no screen cracks or any significant cosmetic damage yet (gonna knock on wood). Besides, I know Boost will drop the price of the existing line up or maybe release more phones by the time good coverage is really available for me.

But I'm still considering leaving Boost.... especially since they've cut data to 2.5gb/mo from unlimited. I see comparable deals for the same or more data from other prepaid providers now. Before they were the best deal in town. Now, not so much. And I think I like the idea of going back to GSM and popping in a SIM card to switch phones. No calling carriers or going online to setup.

I'll probably give Boost until October when the next Nexus phone is released. I just saw they cut the Nexus 4's by $100, so they must be gutting inventory now. Might pick one up if hey cut another $50 or $100. LOL I so wish....
