LTE Speed Tests?

Yes. I know they are building some new towers. 2 new ones but they are not live yet. There is a new one by the landfill and one a little closer to elk river near the gravel pit. The one by the land fill is where I got my speed test. The tower is right by the windmill. Forgot where to third tower is. The one by the windmill and landfill is live!

Did a few tests yesterday with wife's new Victory, consistently getting 15-16 mbps at the house on LTE. Best feature of the phone, easily.

jrccomputer, have you noticed the LTE signal coming and going from the "live" tower, or is it staying steady for you? I know there are upgrades and repairs happening all over the NW Twin Cities area, toward St. Cloud... but I'm not sure whether spotty signal is the tower or possibly a problem with my phone :(

Otherwise, when I do see LTE, it's hitting around 18 - 20... very nice! And I even noticed some LTE up the highway in Zimmerman, so I'm cheering on the Network Vision project. Go, Sprint!

Yes. I was the one doing the coverage in zimmerman. The tower by the windmill in elk river is always live and has never cut out. I travel to elk river twice a day and always get LTE by the Windmill. I also think they are working somewhere in zimmerman cause I get some coverage over there.

I've also mapped some of the coverage in Zimmerman :) I know they're doing tower work in Zimmerman - it's been noted as an outage with customer service since the 14th, with latest estimated repair date to be 5/28.

Well, drat... if I'm only sometimes seeing LTE from the tower by the windmill, it probably means my phone is at fault. I'm already working on troubleshooting and replacement for a family member's phone. Not sure if I have the patience to work on both at once. Maybe I'll wait until after the holiday weekend.

Thanks for the info - very helpful!

I suggest using the Sensorly app to map Sprint's expanding 4G LTE coverage.

I have been... thought I mentioned Sensorly in my other post, but apparently not. Oops!

Good reminder, though, as some of the towers I referenced have literally only shown LTE in the past week. Sprint is hard at work, in the Mpls/ St. Paul area, anyway!

Got one for myself today. Got 28 mbps down out on the balcony, faster than our wifi here. Lowest 4G speed clocked so far about 4 mbps, typical speeds between 15-20 mbps. Page loading is usually almost instant.

I am very pleased with this after suffering though years of crappy Sprint/VM 3G speeds. This is a fantastic bargain.

I've pretty much got the same exact speed range. I live in the north bay of the San Fran Bay Area.

Except fortunately Sprint 3G speeds in the Bay Area are pretty decent and serves as a good backup to 4G.
