Root Lunar-Gen ROM Users

Try downloading Instagram from the Play store.
Does it give you an incompatible error in the Play store?
If it doesnt, does the app itself say it with a force close after u hit ok?

Im running Lunar-Gen with the 2.3.6 900 Kernel.
Not sure if it's the ROM or kernel causing this issue.
Let me know.

Played with Build.prop's lcd density and changed it back to 160 but that wasnt the cause.
Couple of my Playstore apps are un-updatable/unusuable by a report of an incompatible device.

Ive seen threads about the Nexus S having the same problem with custom ROMs.

If I ever get some extra time ill update the apps. If I ever do though. I. Never had issues with it when I had my admire

you are on the right track with the lcd density...if its too high then the play store will think that the device is not compatible...use blade buddy for a quick change to the lcd density and you won't have to mess with the build prop...itll do it for you...lower the lcd till your apps show as compatible. If the apps were themed then you would have to uninstall and reinstall the app for it to properly update because it may have a signature mismatch.

Instagram stopped working when i noticed it at 130.
Reports camera doesnt meet requirements. (idk how when i was using the instagram camera and being able to login before >_>)
-could this be camera1.apk?
-but other apps don't work either, so probably not.

Monster5 build.prop is 160 and i used to instagram on monster5 alot so i know it worked.
even reset the build.prop to the lunar zip prop contents and then tried the mosnter build.prop.

alot of my apps are reporting incompatibility
copied monster for the gingerbread info in the build.prop to try and trick the apps or GP with no luck :/

hopefully we figure this out.
anyone experiencing the same problems with this or another rom, let me know.

if i dont get it ill super flash lunar-gen and investigate it as i have the time to do it


also,blade buddy looks the same to me as the build prop editor/tweak option in ROM Toolbox.

UPDATE: update, got my apps working again, not sure if it was the build.prop and a few reboots or if it was the backup, wipe, flash a diff rom, wipe and restore but alls back to normal (whew.) xD those late bugs eh?
