Help M8 forgets Wifi password on boot

Newbie
So I just got a new Verizon HTC One M8. I'm having a problem with it forgetting the wifi pw every reboot. I'm connecting it via WPS with a 63-character, alphanumeric WPA2-P password. It connects fine via WPS, stays connected while in range and reconnects fine when I come back into range. But if I allow it to reboot then it forgets the key. The phone is completely stock (can't unlocked the new ones it seems) and not rooted.

It's a minor annoyance since my it will be on 24/7 anyways. Is there a fix or a workaround if there is a bug or something I'm not seeing reported?

Hello there, sorry to hear you are having this problem! Try disabling Google backup, then restart the device and see if the issue persists. Let us know how it works out.

Disabled and tried booting with Fast boot on and off. No change. It also does the same thing if I manually enter the key as well (which in not fun).

Try this (if the option is available on your phone) Go to Settings>WiFi. Press the 3 dots upper right corner of screen. Select Advanced. Scroll down to Auto Login, tic the box, reset
