Help m860 battery issues

brand new battery in a huawei m860 less than a year old. i had to charge it 6 times today. the battery would be the red box with the line through it and when i plugged it in it went to 80% or 70%. any ideas?

Just because the phone is less than a year old doesn't mean it isn't bad. Go settings >about phone>status, I believe somewhere in that menu it should show "battery status " if bad; go to a metro/cricket store and buy a new one. If battery stats say good: call bull and take it to a store anyway.

My battery said "good" but it was toast. Got a new one and it lasts all day no problem.

Talking about battery problems.. Why can't I charge my Ascend, fully? It looks almost impossible to reach 100%, unless I leave it charging, while I sleep at night. It stays on the 90's percent, for hoursssss! Then, when it reaches 100%, I take it off the charger, and it goes to 95%, after 2minutes o_O!

Your battery stats are out of wack. happens after flashing alot of time. I had thing happening but the split second I unplugged it it dropped to 95.

Fully charge it over night (the best you can) then before you diconnect the charger Reboot into recovery and go to advanced and select wipe battery stats then reboot and disconnect the charger and let the phone die completely before putting it back on the charger and charge it over night. Dont turn it on or anything just plug it in. Then the next morning use it like normal.

When you wipe the battery stats it erases a stats folder and rebuilds it. And will give more accurate stats from the battery to the phone.
