if you have an intel based chipset on your mac, you can use the linux based usb or cd method. works real well and the link can be found here:http://androidforums.com/droid-x-al...ootable-linux-cd-soley-sbf-headache-free.html

Just to re-assure you: Use the Ubuntu/Linux Method. I have used it a few times on PC, but it will work on any OS.

well he asked about rooting the DX. So the sbf cd really doesn't do that. I have a Macbook Pro but i use VM Fusion and have a Windows build on there. I would use that when i had my DX.

you can also use the linux cd or usb to do other things, as well. just allow it to boot fully into the linux shell and you can perform whatever tasks you need to. its a little weird, but it does work
