Has anyone been able to do this ?

Any words of wisdom ?

Since ATT doesn't seem to have an unlimited data plan,I am a little skeered of the 2g limit.

Root phone with Unrevoked 3, disable 3g, connect to internet via WiFi, download Wireless Tether(free app, no reason to pay for tether apps). You are now set to tether, now as far as unlimited 3g there is a way to obtain that package. Some how my account is classified as business line, not sure why, but I have an option to upgrade my data to an unlimited data with tether for $45 a month. There are also several apps for tethering via USB and some for bluetooth.

I use my wifi when at home or when available.

I see a "check mark" under the 3G icon and have been told that means the 3G is locked out. I do all my app downloading at home.
