Help MacBookPro wont read my X/SD card

My MBP wont read the SD card in the X. When I forst got the phone it did and all I had to do was drag drop music and it would save to the card. Now it doesnt read the card and it asks for two options, "eject" or "ignore".

I did do a phone reset, and nothing happened, probably made it worse

Once you connect it with the cord all you have to do is pull down your notification bar and click on the connected listing. Then a list of options pops up and you need to select "Connect as external drive" (something like that.) You do NOT want PC mode which is what it defaults to. So the first time you connect you'll have to hit ignore, then do what I just said above.
