so I'm trying to root my phone and i'm having a bit of an issue with connecting to my computer. I went over and watched the unlockr videos and followed the procedures there and this was my result;
step 1: install the SDK, open command prompt, make sure phone is connected and ready to go. I did this and it worked just find, 'ADB devices' command showed my phone attached to the computer.. YAY!!! root here i come.
step 2: utterfail, so, the next step is actually rooting. i used the 'adb reboot bootloader' command and here is where the problem arises. the phone boots into bootloader and then magically vanishes. no longer visible via "devices" command, no longer accessable to receive commands, it's just magically gone. it's sitting there next to me still physically connected to the computer just as always but for some reason the drivers that worked just fine when the phone was booted normally do not work in bootloader.
I googled the issue, installed pdanet (no help) tried to locate other drivers, no help there either and finally came here.
are there supposed to be different drivers for regular and bootloader mode or is my phone just messed up? has anyone else experienced this and if so have you found a solution?
