Help Mail app sends two emails

On HTC Wildfire S, android 2.3, uisng the standard Mail app, using a gmail a/c, it alwys sends two emails....any ideas how to stop?

What protocol are you using> POP3 or IMAP?

pop3 (i think).

Try changing to IMAP (you'll need to enable it via the settings page in your gmail account at a PC). If that doesn't work, try an alternative app like K9 Mail.
