Hello everyone,
I have a user who has an HTC thunderbolt (android 2.2.1). Activesync was working fine for him up until this past Tuesday. Since then his mail will not synchronize and the error message he gets is "unable to connect to server." The strange thing is he says his contacts and calendars synchronize just fine and he is able to send e-mail from his phone.
I logged onto the exchange server (exchange 2007 SP3 running on windows 2003 r2 x64) and there are many warnings coming up in the event log for his phone ("An exception occurred and was handled by exchangeactivesync. This may have been caused by an outdated or corrupted exchange activesync device partnership.....")
I have tried removing the partnership, rebooted the server, had him remove and re-add his activesync profile from his phone and even tried adding his account onto my HTC hero which works fine with my activesync account. Nothing worked.
Has anyone come across something like this? Apparently there are other users in our organization experiencing the same problem....all droid users and it all started in the past couple of days.
