Help Mail on SD

Where on the SD card are attachments saved?

I've gone to the Mail folder and it is full of files I cannot open. Can I delete them?

The attachment I was looking for is not there.

I have this question, too.".mail" on both phone and sd have more than a gig. Any reason we can't del. contents?

On the SD card you can delete the contents of .Mail with a file manager (e.g. Estrongs File Explorer).
