Help Mail Program: Create folders etc...

I am using the stock android email app, and want to save some of my emails in specific folders like i do on my desktop.

Can you do this with this app?

or,
what is other email app that is recommended?

I use k-9 for my email and a lot of people I know also use that. I haven't played the stock email app on my inspire so I'm not sure what all it might offer.
