Help Mail Syncing Problem

Im having problem with syncing, I can not get new emails to download/come through. It says it is refreshing but continues to refresh and does not stop. Im using the microsoft active exchange sync, any ideas?
 
I've found that it happens if I choose the option for viewing mail over anything more than 3 days it doesn't download my newest mails. However it works if I select 3 days. I've rung HTC and they say many other people have been ringing with the same problem however they do not have a solution. Anyone else having the same problem or have any suggestions?
