Mains Charger

After getting my desire yesterday, obviously i've been charging it and due to the length of the charger i've found it a pain really as USB charging off my laptop isn't as effective. Do you guys use a dock for your desk? If so which one is the best to get?
 
I've not gone for a dock (yet) but I do use a USB extension cable connected into the mains charger then connect the Micro USB cable into the extender.

Not the neatest solution I admit but it works as a stop gap ;-)
