Maintaining Governor Settings

No matter what I set it to using Kernel Turner, it always resets back to lagfree, especially after a reboot. Sometimes though, it'll happen just over a couple hours.
Is there a setting that makes it hold whatever I set it to?

Under settings do you have it checked to apply your preferences on boot complete?
