I don't see Kindle either. I deleted my downloaded Kindle thinking there was no need for 2 apps but it's gone completely. My internal memory actually improved, which was much needed. No new 4G widget either here.

Ok thanks GhostFlame. I checked the 4g box, it scanned, threw up a 4G! icon in the status bar and then where I checked the box, it went to "disconnected." Should I leave it checked or not? I'm in partial 4G locations around town but not at home (have to use an airave).

Now, riddle me this...I would never scan for 4G service but when I was in a 4G area, my phone would lite up with service. Do you think the same thing will happen without having to tap scan for service everywhere I go with this update?
Totally unsure - I'm still trying to sort out what this means, really. So far all I'm getting on this one is that it's foolproof to not fully understand - and I'm proving that wrong.
As for previously - I wonder if you weren't suffering the background on/off defect without knowing it, and thinking your phone was square because the 4-G widget was off....?
In any case, this update is supposed to fix that sort of previously wrong behavior.

Now I'm wondering about that defect too. I wonder if that's why my battery life never improved, even with all the posts you made about that. I followed all those instructions to a T and my battery life sucked. I'm interested to see now how my battery behaves. Maybe this weekend, I'll head down to where the 4G is strong and see what happens and report back.

Ja wohl - I caught a dose of it (verified in my system logs) and it ate my battery like no tomorrow - hard reset didn't fix it, either.

Moved you here, more details on what works and doesn't in this subforum.
ah....i didnt think to look in support and troubleshooting for details on the update. So far all of my features are working out okay. Nothing seems broken.

So i got a message a while ago that there was a new system update for my phone...so I did proceed with it and its done updating. now is there a way I can view what has changed in the update for the phone. What was fixed or added...?

I had swype on it before the update. I just finished with the update.. will the new Swype conflict?

can you delete the beta version, do you have two swype apps showing up under apps?

The beta never showed up in apps. Only in settings - installed programs.
