Help Major help needed

I have just done the new official samsung update, all seemed to go well, with no errors, and now the virtual keyboard is gone.

I have attempted to hold down the left button to bring it up, with no joy. i have even gone into select input method, and there are no keyboards there.

How can i get the keyboard back as the phone is as good as brick without it.


Any help greatly appreciated.

you will probably have to do a factory reset, be aware application installs, contacts, settings will be lost.
contacts should be synched with gmail tho

Thanks for the response, not really what i wanted to hear.

I have done the factory reset, and it has fixed the problem but it has installed the worst keyboard ever now. The samsung one, as described in the thread below.
