Help major memory problem

hi

iv had the play for 2 weeks, but one major issue. iv had 2 32gb memory cards in there. put things on, then the phone decides to turn itself off. both times, with both cards, the phone has made the cards unreadable. the phone wont format them, neither will windows, or any other formatting programme.

i was transferring media from mediago, and the phone turned off then on again. after that, the 2nd 32gb card i bought wasnt readable.

anyone heard of anything like this, or a fix? i swapped the phone with someone who i was passed on to, as i wanted one so badly, so iv got no way of taking it back as such

any help would be great!

i had a similar experiance with my xperia play, it turned out that the 32gb cards were fake, theres some real good fakes out there that make it look as if youve copied massive amounts over, it even shows the cards file structure correctly until the device is turned off/restarted etc. i hope for your sake im wrong though!

I bought a 32gb from expansys and all is well now.

Watch out for "good deals" on 32gb cards. Tons of fakes on eBay and in small "fly by night" electronic kiosks.

Best to buy from a reputable dealer.

I had the same problem too! I got a 16gb SanDisk from best buy and after a few days use, my phone turned off, and it wouldn't read the card after. Also, the card could not get formatted! Any solutions?

I have read that Android devices do not play well with class 10 microSDs. I personally have a Patriot class 10 32 GB microSD in mine. I used a free utility called chkflsh. I used this to delete the manufacturer partition on it and create a new non-LBA partition. I then formatted with windows for FAT32 with the full format option. I have not had any problems. I had read that the LBA partition is what gives Android problems on higher capacity cards.
