Major newbie??!!!

NEVER NEVER NEVER in a million years did I think I'd be getting a smart phone like a 'droid at 55 years of age. Time to go with the flow or be swept aside by the tide, I guess. No more TracFone.

This is SO Greek to me (or should I say geek). It took me 20 minutes to figure out how to turn it one I don't even know if it's activated. I hooked it up to my local wi-fi but I can't make calls on it yet.

I'm hoping these forums might help (people are really really nice on these). I can come here and get some hand holding and also enough information that I can actually join the 21st century and be thought of by my kids (15, 18, 22, 26) as someone they recognize through their sole focus on technology, social media, and one-off relating.

I'm a professor of sociology, retired due to health issues 2 years ago. I'm trying to start my own business with a rather unique niche: Forgiveness Coach. What I need is a Droid coach!

I teach part time as an adjunct at a couple of colleges here in Sioux Falls. Am I boring all yet?
