So I take it neither one of those methods worked... simple root ota should do the trick and get you rooted.

EDIT: or you can update to 3.26 and then use unrevoked. Either way.

and ive tried upgrading to 1.47.651.6 and downgrading 1.47.651.1 and i stupidly upgrade to 1.47.651.5 wich is what bricked alot of peoples phones and it was suppose to make perfomance better but now it lags more so i really wany to get back to 1.47.651.1

corect and update what to 3.26 and with unrevoked can you do wifi tether, overlock and uninstall system apps? thank you

Yea you can wifi tether with any of the above root methods including unrevoked. Overclocking depends on the kernal you flash. And you use titanium to freeze system apps. Read the thread unrevoked for dummies + extras. The OP has a ton of good info and step by step instructions. Check it out, its a few posts down from this one!

Have you ever heard of this Rooting method call Simple Root? Since you are still on 2.1 this will bee the easiest way to root and get all that stuff you want.

For further on how to,Google it or simply read the stickies.

im on 2.2 froyo, for sure, it even says in the settings, plus simple root is for 1.47.651.1 i have 1.47.651.5 which was the ota update that killed root
