I have tried for ages and in vain to get my tethered htc desire to share my internet connection to my router for the rest of my network.
My laptop which I used that was on vista worked straight away with bridging the connections. Now I have bought a new desktop on Windows 7 and I can't get it to work. I tried ICS which should have worked. Bridging didn't work although at one point I had other computers connected to the internet but not the tethered one.
On a side note after messing around for ages there was an option to merge connections so I tried that and now they are the same network and there is no option to unmerge them which means when I go to select ICS there is no option to share with my lan connection as it think it is the same connection even though they are seperately listed in network connections, in the sharing centre they appear together.
Nobody seems to be able to answer this unmerging issue. I don't really want to go down the restore point road if I can help it as I did all the updates after.
