Root make ally ring sooner?

Ok so since I upgraded to froyo on my wife's ally there seems to be a much longer delay for the phone to ring. Right now I've got her running rooted stock rom, which is easier for me so she doesn't bug me about extra features. My problem is that when I call her it rings on my end for 4-5 rings before her ally rings once. Now on my og droid its an easy build.prop edit to fix, but I can't find anything similar on the ally. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance.

If there is a guide to how to do it on the droid, then it should be possible to follow the same guide (as closely as possible considering the different phopnes) for the ally.

thanks for the input but I figured it out...turns out it's completely different from the droid. ok so for those who may have the same issue it is in the hidden menu. access it by going to the dialer and punching in ##program740 enter 000000 (that's 6 zeros) and click on the top option (service programing i think) and click ok several times till you get to the slot cycle index option, click edit and change the 2 to a 1 and it polls the towers more frequently looking for incoming calls. it reboots and viola the thing rings sooner! doing this prob runs down the battery sooner but at least now my wife doesn't have an excuse for "not getting my calls". doing that brings me back to the days of hacking my razr, venus and voyager.

never really thought of this as an issue but, now that ya mention it, same deal! I did it and I suppose it works. Thanks hoss!

That will virtually use 2x the power as normal, what you want to do is change the build.prop, or update to Velocity 1.0 since it has that tweak already.

I did the method posted above, and i notice zero difference in battery usage... I might add, that i havent had any phone calls since then either.lol

It literally causes the phone to contact the tower much more often, the change also isnt persistent through reboots
