Root Make Altair Notification Sound Louder?

I really like the altair notification sound but I find that it isn't loud enough. I wanted to find the audio file and amplify it on my computer but I don't know where it is stored.

Anyone know?

Its an .ogg file

I've done that to my preferred ring tone.
Just added a bunch of compression to squash the dynamic range, and then cranked it up to -0 db.
Worked ok.

I use the "cloud" ringtone from the Galaxy S phones. ringtones are very personal and it takes me awhile to get used to one. after I gave up my Sidekick phones I didnt know if I could get used to another ringtone for texts but this one replaced it.

lol i like using text tones from htc phones... i will have to try the galaxy s tones then

you could download that phones stock rom and open it up, then take out the ones you want. then put em' in your phone thats what i do
