Making it easier to access Google Now?

Google Now allows me to say "ok google" to do something, though I still need to open the Google Now app. Is there an easier way to access the app?

Long press on home button then hit the 'g' at the bottom

In addition to the advice above, you can add the Google search app as an icon in your dock.
If you use a 3rd party launcher you can set a swipe gesture to launch Google search.
