Root Making SuperSU a system apk.

Not sure if this is important, itmust be, but of how much importance is the question! I hit the make supersu a system apk. It told me to reboot after completing. Before rebooting I noticed my SuperSU Icon was gone from where it was. So I rebooted & while loading at first it said Updating Android & counted through my apks. I've seen this happen before on other previous rooted handsets when I'd flash a new rom & just flashed a update. Anyhow doesn't seem like any firmware has changed but at the playstore supersu is now a system apk. Also where I tapped on the supersu apk to make a system apk it went faded so you can't tap on it. I attached screenshots! uploadfromtaptalk1404818480726.jpguploadfromtaptalk1404818509806.jpg

Ok well being as I've heard people say that out Volt's are "soft rooted" that's why I figured to make sure SuperSU is a system apk. But how much difference is probably minimal! I just wanna keep messing with it!!!

Makes no difference if SuperSU is a system app. If an update wants to remove it, it will.

As for the bricks, just watch what you freeze/delete...also, we have a way to factory restore now and the confusion with that has been cleared up (drivers).

has anybody successfully factory restored their volt? I've been following that thread since it was created and the last post is from a user who gave up and took their phone back to best buy. i haven't seen one post from someone who restored to factory successfully expect the thread author. Did it work for you? i saw your post about the drivers on that thread.

I will be making another attempt when I get home tonight. I was using the wrong drivers.
