Making Swype your default input method

Is this possible? Right now, I have to change it each time I start a new message..

Settings > Language & Keyboard > remove check boxes next to the other input methods

I got rid of Swype - had a random reboot. Since I uninstalled it, haven't had one. Let's see. I can always reinstall if needed.

Also while it's a cool input method, it gets tiring after a while and annoying since your thumb covers letters as you swype making it hard to do certain words. I'll stick to the HTC keyboard with voice input
