Manage Alarm Clock Online

PaxZed

Lurker
I am looking for an alarm clock app that can be set online or remotely. Does this alarm clock app exist? I think it would be a really useful feature.

welcome to AF!!!!!!!!!

since you asking about an app.....i moved you to the app forum.

i never heard of such a thing. wouldn't be just as easy to go to your device and set the alarm? not sure why you would need to this from your pc.

I'm an app developer and i'm interested in developing this app. Would it be ok if the alarms are set via sms commands instead?

What other features would you like to see in it too?

Do post back here when you're finished as it's an interesting idea.

If im not wrong, isn't that app called 'fake call' or something like that? I read that in the newspapers recently

Absolutely feel free to develop this. The idea originated from the syncing of google note and calendar. I love being able to access both on my note and on any computer. With this origin if there were a more multi-purpose calendar perhaps? For instance, lets say im on my laptop and buy movie tickets. I wanna remind myself about it later on in the day, so I set an alarm. or lets say I am upstairs away from my phone on my laptop and my alarm is about to go off downstairs, I want to be able to access it and turn the alarm off without going downstairs. things like that. or say for instance my spouse wants to remind me of something they can access my alarm as well. Perhaps what I am looking for is a more robust calendar app. but what I imagine is a calendar/alarm clock hybrid.

Here is an example of what I was thinking of
WakeUpDialer.com

"set" it on-line using the website and they will call you at the specified time.

You just have to trust them with your number. The good thing is they don't ask any personal info other than your number, so they're not going to steel your identity... but I'd wonder if I'm going to be harassed with sales calls. The website seems to say the right things about privacy, do-not-call list etc. They're associated with Callspin and Uber Systems ... Google doesn't show a lot about them but at least nothing negative....

Blahking mentioned "fake call". Looks like that could be sent from another android phone
