Introducing the new Ally Site. After a terrible SNAFU resulting is the loss of almost a TB of Ally data housed on userspace. I have decided to do things a little differently. For starters my home server is set to rsync and perform a mysqldump weekly to awesomazing.com.

To you guys you will notice the page looks very much different. It is using a JOOMLA backend for content management and control. Other than being rediculously easy to set up this allows for User Generated Content so anyone who registers will be able to contribute.

Features Include:

• Userspace Upload Management
• User generated content
• Separate permission levels for Developers
• Blog style layout configured to show recent updates first
• Module based with thousands of free extensions able to be included

Its pretty cool. Right now I only have a few articles for different roms up and an article on z4root. I will be adding articles as quick as I can. Please feel free to contribute, just try to follow the Article Guidlines

If you have been on the site in the last month or so you will notice that there haven't been many updates. There are a few reasons for this, one being that I have been busy with lots of projects and fielding questions.

However when I changed the site over the the Joomla backend, I did so with the hopes and aspirations that it would be community driven, hoping that members of the community would post articles on new developments that caught they're eye.

No one has made a single article other than myself.

Now this isn't horrible, but it does leave me with a lack of motivation. I have been there, its alot harder to take the time to create a solution than it is to try and find a solution.

As you can see from the server stats the website is WELL USED even in its incomplete state.

I pay for hosting on savoxis.com out of my own pocket and have a dedicated server for awesomazing.com at home for development tools and shell access to these tools. Never once did I think it would come to this I have always been happy to take one for the team but, I have been getting frustrated, now I dont expect to have my cake and eat it aswell. And being such as there is no community work done on mAndroid I would love for the costs of my servers to be offset (even a little by donations)

If everyone who uses the site donated .002 cents a year my costs would be negated. Yes... there are that many people using it.

Wished i could donate... im just a teenager. If i was older, i would donate to everyone like u and trident and d2a100 and etc for their hardwork at making the ally worthwhile.......
