Root Manual software update

Hi,

Been reading these boards for a while and they are a wealth of information. Helped me sort a problem I had.

I have the Desire HD and had rooted it to remove the simlock, it also added clockwork and Super User. Long story short started force closing apps even after I fixed the permissions.

So I went to the stock roms site and got the 2.33 build with Sense 2.1 RUU/EXE

Software Number : 2.50.405.2

Now from what I understand I cant get OTA updates as the handset CID is T Mobile UK and this is a stock HTC rom on there so I am not getting the update pushed through from T Mobile now.

So from reading other similar threads I would have to downgrade the rom do the CID modification to get updates from HTC. Then restore to non root.

However, if I could get the Stock T Mobile Rom or the latest stock HTC Rom all would be great.

So I am asking, does anyone know where I can get either the T Mobile UK Froyo Rom or the HTC 3.5 Gingerbread with Sense 3 RUU/EXE file

Thanks in advance :)

Thanks for the link but it wont download, saying all download slots are full and have to do a paid membership to get access immediately.

Tried doing the downgrade to sort CID but no luck at all still showing as T-MOB005 on CID Getter so the RUU/EXE way is easier to do. Also means that I can use my Sky Go app as it wont work on rooted devices and this way sorts it all out!

If you have the rom and could link it would be greatly appreciated

Thanks again :)

Friendlier place here than over at XDA, think I will drop in on the lounge areas and contribute a bit more :)

Will also point you guys out to anyone asking how to do something with Android over on the HEXUS forums. Just look out for Ferral if you or anyone else heads over there :)

I'd also not be sure if you could get OTA updates, as your Carrier ID would still be branded, but you would have non-branded firmware.
