Root Manually activate the OTA

I've been trying to get the OTA on my phone and having issues.
The actual OTA.zip is (of course) sitting on my phone but every time I want to test something, I have to go through the dreary process of then re-downloading the OTA.

Is there a way for me to get the thing to begin working when I tell it to vice having to wait for it to download?

Thanks.

sorry, not that i know of. it will eventually happen. if you are anxious to get the OTA,and dont mind wiping your data, just relock and run the RUU. :)

there are no benefits to actually recieving it OTA. running the 2.01.605.11 RUU will get you the same software and radios :)

You are absolutely correct.

I don't care HOW I get the OTA firmware, just want it to be there so I don't have to keep going through the download of the OTA only to have it fail!

I downloaded the RUU but I got an error when I ran the EXE file. Gosh I wish this was more simple!

turbomentor - it's getting rather confusing that you're troubleshooting this problem in 3 different threads. Can you try to keep it to one?
