Help Manually linking contacts to thier FB account?

I've been searching for a away to manually link a phone contact from my gmail contact list to the person's fb account. Anyone know how to accomplish this manually. There are only a couple I want to link?

I used the sync option and chose the sync fb and even though I chose to only sync existing contacts it loaded all my facebook contacts. Which i did not want.
So after removing all the unwanted ones from my contacts in my phone there are a few that did not link up and I would like to ad the FB link manually.
Any one know how to do that?

I think the only way to do this really is by sync all of the contacts! The contact you want to link with facebook has to have somewhat the same name in your phonebook - yes the filter of the facebook app is horrible. After that do go to contact hit join and see if you can find the facebook contact you would like to make it the same as.

Personally think this is absolutely silly that facebook contacts do not alter the contacts with some identifier so that you do not have to do it every time you restart your phone.
