Help Manually updating?

Flavoristic

Newbie
Hello fellow,

I need someone to help me manually update my G-nexus to 4.0.3 or 4.0.2 since my current carrier doesn't push updates. My G-nexus name is "yakjuux" from Bell carrier.

thanks :)

Huh bell doesnt push updates?

I'm pretty sure that when you buy a Nexus, you should get updates directly from Google, that's one of Nexus's selling point, at least for me

But sometimes these OTA updates gets rolled out little by little, meaning some will get it first, others will get it after some time

Here's a few tips:
1. Check for updates manually from Settings > About > System Updates
2. Make sure you're not using ClockWorkMod recovery

PS: If you somehow modify system data's, updates will also fail, IE:Costum ROMs (I think)

ICS 4.0.3 isn't officially rolled out yet, if you want you can flash your Nexus with an unofficial 4.0.3 version, use Google to search

And your carrier isn't the ones supposed to push out OTA updates,
From my experience, all Nexus devices updates are controlled by Google

I believe all non yakju phones are supported by Samsung, and only yakju is supported directly by google. This is why I flashed my yakjuux to yakju, BUT google has stopped rolling out 4.0.2 for yakju.. I'm still at 4.0.1
