Help MANY Rezound Problems

I bought the Rezound in November of last year, when it came out and have had a few bad phones from that point going forward (screen issues, phone getting SUPER HOT, phone not charging battery, charger port loose), and now the phone I've had since April of this year is having issues-

3G-4G or 4G-3G switches result in dropped calls (I'm in Madison, WI, a very strong 4G market), no service where I live (this just started a month ago, Verizon "checked the network" and said everything is fine), and most annoying, the proximity sensor on the phone has stopped working, so when I pull the phone away from my face, I need to push the power button on the top of the phone in order to get the screen to re-illuminate and become functional.

Verizon told me that they have never seen Rezound's with problems like this (line of bs, I know), and want to swap me into a different phone, the Galaxy Nexus.

I'm not quite sure what to do at this point- I've read some good things about the GNex and a lot of bad about the GNex, which leaves me unsure what to do. I wish VZW would just send me a NEW Rezound, but i'm 100% sure that it will never happen like that.

I looked at the Razr's and am not super impresed with them either- honestly, i'm not impressed with the selection that Verizon is offering right now.

The VZW rep that I spoke to again today, told me that they aren't sure where to start trouble shooting with my phone, as there are antennas in the back cover and in the battery (according to the rep). He told me that he doesn't want to start throwing random parts at my phone, so he wants to replace it.

What do you guys think?

In the last few months I have had continued issues with my Rezound and data issues, I could not even get a solid 3G or 4G signal on 4 rezounds. I have had SIM cards replaced and tried everyone one of their suggestions and it was not till the 5th one that I can now hold onto a normal 3g and 4g signal.

I'm on my 2nd sim card already and still having problems. I'm going to call VZW tonight and see what they can do. Hopefully send me a Rezound that works, until something better comes out...

I have the Rezound and the GN, I would drop the Rezound in a heartbeat for the GN.

I had the same issues as you regarding the battery not charging and getting really hot during use. Verizon replaced the battery with a new one and now it charges fine, but the phone still gets really hot during use. Hope it's normal.
