How do you save a Map on the Note 10.1 so that you can access it at a later date like when you're in your car and want to refer to it? Also where on the Note 10.1 are the Maps saved to?
It's part of Google maps now, you can cache the map you're looking at, from the search function - this cacheing function only reappeared lately, check updates
On Maps version 7 choose an area and type "ok maps" in the search bar. The area on your screen will be cached.
No management of this cached area.
You might try uninstalling the update and going back to version Maps 6 with its ability to store six areas 'a 80MB and manage them via Maps menu
BTW, you know that Maps needs a data connection for recalculating a navigation route and for the search function, even if you've the map area in question stored on your phone?
If you want to avoid or can't have a data connection there are better offline apps as Maps offline ... like Navigon or CoPilot as paid and NavFree as free app for car turn-by-turn navigation.
