Maps application

Dear All,

I have recently made the move from HTC Legend to the fantastic Samsung Galaxy Nexus. The phone is perfect.

I have 2 things that I have noticed and they are more than likely to do with the applications themselves but i thought i would ask for some help anyway.

1) when i got to close all my apps using the onscreen button bottom right and start swiping away my apps i always seem to have the MAPS app running.... I dont have the GPS active so i am unsure as to why this is running? any thoughts?

2) I use Battery indicator app that appears as a percentage in the notification bar at the top left of the screen. however long i charge it for, it never seems to get to 100% it sits at 99%... thoughts?

Many thanks in advance

Maps: double check your installed apps to see if one of them is causing the Maps to open up.

Charging: a lot of users have reported this issue. As far as i know there really is no solid fix nor does it really cause a "major" issue. This will probably get fixed in the next update your phone receives.

1) it happens every time i flash a new rom. just open the Map application, and then leave, it wont show up again.

2) when your battery is at 99% and still charging, it takes very long for it to read 100% (possibly a few minutes).

Not charging to 100% isn't a bug to my knowledge. It's not a "issue" so I can't imagine it would be "fixed." Correct me if I'm wrong, but the way I understand it is the phone charges to 100% and then from there trickle charges but can allow the phone to drop to 99, 98, even 95% before it kicks back into charging.

If you want to see it "read" 100%, try pulling out the charger and plugging it back in. It will probably go to 100% for a brief moment.
