I know that it is easy to make a thread seem like the original question has been answered by editing the title of the thread and adding a moniker such as [solved]. Over at sevenforums they took the idea used here for marking thread types (support, etc.) and used that to be able to quickly mark a thread solved.
What I'd like to see, however, is something along the lines of getSatisfactions' Mark as answer, so that the OP and / or a Greenie Beanie or Red Head could not only mark a support thread as answered but also be able to quickly mark the actual post(s) in the thread as the answer.
Could something like this be implemented here?
I'm not talking about FAQs and such, I'm talking about individual threads that users create in order to solve a problem - such as a user posting in, say, a device forum on how to rearrange the icon layout in the dock of a particular UI used by that manufacturer, etc.
