Up on the notification bar the time is off by four hours, how can I get it to read the correct time ?

go to setting Date & time...also you can call *228 if you with metro, but i set mines manually.

Once you are in the Date & Time settings, uncheck Automatic (if checked) then set your time zone correctly, then check Automatic back. I had to do that when I flashed to CM6.

to those who tried to help thanks but went to a metro store and they fixed it, the automatic update was checked but you could not unchecked it. All they did was to check the airplane mode, take out the battery and put it back in, turn the phone back on, went outside and unchecked the airplane mode. The gps kicked in and the time on the home page and notification bar was reset the correct time. Thanks again for trying to help.
