Help Market constantly asking to signin

Hi I am confused by the android market. I downloaded two free apps this morning which was fine, tried again this afternoon and it keeps asking me to enter the verification code and then re login to the market using my youtube account. I put the password in and it goes back to google verification. I know the password is correct and I am slightly confused. I am currently using android 2.3 on a samsung galaxy s2. I have had the phone for two months and this is the first problem like this that I have encountered.

you may want to clear your data in the market and try again, or do a soft reset or both.
