Root Market FC's now

I am running 596 rooted and deodexed. I tried jrummy's animation mod and got nonstop FC problem. I reapplied the 596 deodexer from Bouchigo followed by his CRT, blue battery, pattern lock mod. This fixed the multiple FC problem. Now my phone wants to install updates to 2 of my apps. The updates will download ok, but then the market will FC and the update freezes. I also tried the market fix as well as stopping the market app and clearing the cache. That did not work either. Restoring a previous backup does not help either. Is a SBF my only option now?
Update: can't install new apps either!

I had the same problem. Not even clearing data and cache for Market would fix the problem. What did work was to factory reset / data wipe in clockwork. Kind of drastic, but it's better than an SBF.

Ok. Doesn't factory reset break root? If so, would I have to sbf back to 340 and go back though the steps to get back to rooted 596? Or am I thinking wrong here?

Go to manage Apps. Select market. Clear cache and data. Uninstall updates. Go back into market. Accept. Should be fixed. Try this before you do a factory reset.
