Help Market missing

Hey guys,

I got my pal the Motorola Droid or Milestone as they call it here, I booted up the device checked for updates and it was the latest one (2.1 update1) , I couldn't find the Android Market app, so the phone is really sad without the market place, How can I bring it back..any help will be appreciated

and just another question can I reflash the device with a UK variant? I believe it is the EMEA variant that disallows the market !!

ive got d same prob wd u..the market icon is missing..ive opened d website in my phone but i dont knw how to reflash..pls help me. tnx!
 
hey there, womanne

just download the sfb from the link given by Szadzik, and get the files such as RSDLite and drivers corresponding to your OS..

Step 1: Install Drivers
Step 2: Install RSDLite
Step 3 : Plugin the device, and run RSDLite
Step 4: browse for the downloaded SBF file in RSDLite
Step 5 : check if the device is recognized by RSDLite,
Step 6: select it and hit start, wait for a while ..once it reboots after installation you are good to go ;)

If you have a European Milestone you can try the UK SBF, sure.
 
I actually have the similar issue. My Milestone is the Chinese version, technically a Motorola XT702, and it has no Market or any Google apps.

When I flash it, am I suppose to download a non-service version of 2.1, with WCDMA bands the same as my current version (850, 1900, 2100)? Thanks in advance.
 
hi guys, I found a website sometime ago & it was very useful for answeer of all my quwstions, I think you can root & unroot your device safely with this website.
with rooting, you can have everything everywhere, but it's your risk to do it or not...

if you have market app in milestone & you can't open it, its because google banned some countries to use this service
