need some more details as to exactly what you did before it stopped working"Unfortunately market has stopped"
Any help guys would be appreciated.
try going into your manage applications settings and clear the data and cache for the market app.A system update came out. Thats all I did and installed. I can enter the market, but when I try to get into the details of an app, the market stops and thats as far as I can get.

Same with me![]()
The phone has been out for a while now, with everyone running the same OS version (4.0.2), and this is the first I've seen this problem.
It is a wide spread issue being reported by people who received the yakjuux 4.0.2 update this week. I guess Google saved this gem just or us. Not everyone is on 4.0.2 yet, several builds have yet to roll out since Google again halted the update a few weeks ago.
I haven't got the update yet, but I'm going to try uninstalling market updates/clearing data before hand and see if that makes any difference. Also doing a backup in anticipation of a factory reset. Fun...
I'm on a Verizon GNex (just arrived yesterday) and it updated to 4.0.2 almost immediately yesterday. Market is working perfectly fine for me. I'll post back if any problems pop up.
Your Nexus is a different 4.0.2 build that was released weeks ago. You shouldn't have the same issues we have.
Congrats on the new phone, enjoy!
Well you could always flash yakju, I guess. It's disappointing to need that step because the whole point of a Nexus is that you don't need to root/unlock and flash custom roms/updates. Best of luck, anyway!
I might just wait it out and see if Google comes up with a fix. The updated hasn't dropped on my device yet anyway.
And thanks to sdrawkcab25 for the backup link. Backups are a good practice even when buggy updates aren't pointing right at you with both barrels.
Definitely would suggest a Factory Reset and see what that does.
I've read a few comments today from people who suffered from this and tried the factory reset... it does seem to fix the issue. That's a relief.
If you're in Canada a factory reset DOES NOT fix the issue. If you haven't upgraded yet, hold off. There is clearly a problem with the 4.0.2 update.
