Help Market not working?

Hey android community,
My mom bought a Samsung Admire and almost every time she tries to download an app, it shows the bar with the diagonal lines moving to the right(the loading prgress bar in the market), which it always displays before it downloads said app.

Now, it gets stuck on this cycle without actually downloading the app, and since it's not actually downloading the app there's no way to actually cancel the downloading of the app.. so it just sits there... for a very long time(not actuall sure how long..).

Dows anyone know a fix for this?

EDIT: Also, she gets 1xRTT instead of 3G/4G... is this a problem and/or would it have any effect on the download process? I wouldn't think it would....

Connect to wifi and see if it works...

If not try going to market.android.com on a pc and sending them to her phone.

I have had the same issue off and on for over two years. Seemed to get worse for awhile when they were upgrading the local towers to 3g and lte coverage.

I've tried both of those. Wifi doesn't even work with my M835. I get the same thing. downloading via market.android.com works well for me but rarely works for her

You running the ascend cm7 rom on the mate?

The only other thing I can think of is that she's getting a really weak signal or market is experiencing server issues.

Sorry, I should have clarified. wifi itself works on my M835, but downloading via wifi does not, which is fine, because I can use the market via my crappy 1x. She, too, has 1xRTT, so maybe that's the problem is that the connection times out or something... which really sucks.

We'll see how things go in the future.

Settings -> Applications - > Look for "Market" clear cache.
