Help Market notifications

I accidentally posted this in the Sprint forum so I'm reposting here.

I've seen posts in other forums about this but I haven't seen any solutions.
Is anyone with an Evo getting (or not getting) notifications about updates from the Market? I recently upgraded from the Hero & didn't get notifications then or now either one. Just curious if this is an HTC thing or something I need to change in my settings.

I don't get updates unless I have my downloaded apps set to automatically update or if I manually open the market to look for new apps.

Also, when you have the market open, if you click on menu - settings, there is an option to be notified or not, maybe you have it set to don't notify.

I get them all the time. However, I periodically check my apps to see if there are updates
