Help Market problem

Newbie
I have just bought a Wildfire S for my son. It's a cracking little phone and runs 2.3.
We have noticed an annoying issue.
If you turn it off, when it's turned back on again it re-downlaods apps from the Market place. Last night it kept downloading the Gmail app and today it's Angry Birds Rio
My lad is a sensible lad so always turns the phone off when he is not using it.This problem is really going to eat into his data allowance. Thankfully, he connects to the wi-fi at home.

Anyone else have this issue? Any ideas on a fix?

Did you move them to the SD Card?

I know with a lot of market download issues, deleting the android_secure and LOST.DIR folders from the SD Card then rebooting will sort. You could try that?

I don't think it saved to the card. To be honest, I'm not sure where it saved to. I'm fairly sure that it saved to the phone.

Try deleting those folders then rebooting, see if that does it. Take a backup of ant contents first though.

Also, just realised this was in the Wildfire forum so moved to the Wildfire S. :)
