Market Update...wait, nothing needs updating?

Every morning when I wake up, the first thing I do is check my phone. The update icon appears in the top-left corner saying one of my apps needs to be updated. So when I tap it, I go into the My Downloads area and...nothing needs updating.

Is it maybe that a program that I've bought (but don't currently have installed) needs updating?

Never had that happen. Like your said maybe its one of tour purchased items. Redownload it and see if its that.

You most likely updated the app without noticing the notification. If you update an app without clicking on the notification, it will stay there until you clear it even if you've already updated all your apps.
