Market update?

My N1 switched to the new market style but so far the NS is stuck on the old one.

I've deleted the cache and rebooted but nothing...

Any ideas?

as you say it does just do it automatically so you will just have to wait, i believe you can also download the updated market.apk from the internet.

I'm not really getting it... Google's flagship device still running the old market...

A friend has a Galaxy S and it has the new market already....

From what I have seen, I'm not really diggin the new market so I am more than happy to keep the old one....

I was surprised too. Got the phone, went to the market, and voila, it was still the old one. My G1 updated to the new market, but then it slowed it down futher more. LOL

my girl has a vibrant and she has the new one.. she makes fun of me all the time about it..lol

When I had mY captivate I had the new market now with nexus s no. I wonder why

Apparently the Nexus S comes with a market that's slightly T-Mobile branded. When you use a T-Mobile sim card, the "Downloads" tab changes to a "T-Mobile" tab.

My guess is that Google's deal with T-Mobile prohibits any un-branding efforts.

but what would that matter for the upgraded market, I mean the vibrant has it already and thats tmobile why does the nexus which should have all updates first not have the new market?

Because the new market is not branded? Or because they have to make a branded version just for the Nexus?

I don't understand why the market would be branded in the first place, unless Google made some deal with T-Mobile.

What does the old market look like. The nexus S is my first Android phone, I'm assuming I'm using the new market?

are you using shootme to take screenshots?

Nah, just grabbed them from Google Image Search. As far as I know, only custom ROMs have the new market for the Nexus S for now. I haven't rooted mine yet since I want to make sure it doesn't have any hardware defects first. It also doesn't help that most of the custom ROMs don't quite have everything working at 100%. I plan on rooting when 720p video recording is ready.
